# Preservation plan creation

The creation of a preservation plan can be accessed from the main screen of preservation plans (by creating a new preservation plan from scratch) and from a preservation plan detail (by creating a new preservation plan based on the detail plan).

**Note**: it is not possible to edit a preservation plan once created, therefore it is recommended to carry out a previous analysis in order to determine the features of the preservation plan to be created. Please get in touch with the LIBNOVA consultants should you have any doubt.
