# Preservation plans

A preservation plan sets the conditions under which an object is to be preserved. It is applied at the preservation area level.

All the preservation plans registered in the system are listed in the ‘preservation plans’ main screen. For each one, the system shows name, preservation area it belongs to, its status (active / inactive) and access to the preservation plan detail.
