LIBSAFE Advanced Pro - Preservation Administrator Manual

The following sections cover the elements that make up the main actions to be configured to structure the preservation activity. They should be used by a reduced number, or just one, of the preservation administrators.

A correct configuration of a preservation system should always come from an analysis previous to the system configuration. It must be taken into account that all actions are final, and that changes –additions- will add more history complexity, which should be avoided if unnecessary.

This manual does not cover the necessary system configuration (see the System administration manual for that), but to facilitate a full understanding some of the basic concepts that allow to see the system as a whole are described hereinafter.
