# Automatic ingestion and retrieval processes

**LIBSAFE** executes periodically some processes that are transparent to the user. Some of these processes are helpful for the users under certain situations. Some examples of that are   Automatic ingestion and Automatic retrieval.

**Note**: programmed tasks can be managed from LIBSAFE’s system configuration. It is the system’s administrator job to configure said programmed tasks to adjust them to the specific needs of the entity where they have been implanted.
