# Notifications panel

The information and use of the notifications panel is developed in the *System Administrator manual*, which should be read prior to this manual and, more specifically, before this section.

**Note**: Access to the notifications panel through the top bar grants access to those notifications for the user who is using the application, whereas the notifications panel in ‘*Preservation Configuration*’ will show all the system’s notifications.

The notifications panel available in *Advanced Options – System Configuration – Notifications* panel only differs in the following:

1. It is only accessible by users belonging to a user group of system administrator category, with the corresponding access permission.
2. It shows **all** notifications registered in the system, meaning all from all users (and for such, for all user groups).
3. The message selection filter includes two more fields, which are *Receiver (group)* and *Receiver (user)*.
4. Each notification has also shown, as its own line item, the user to which the notification is associated.
