# File format characterizer detail

In the different sections of a characterizer detail, we can see the information related to the characterizer. The *General Information* section shows name, description, installed version and a weblink where we can find more detailed information on the characterizer.

The file formats that can be identified by the characterizer are listed in the *Associated file formats*. Of each one, the system shows name, extension (it may have one, several or no extension), the UID identifier, a weblink where we can find more detailed information and access to the file format detail.

All the validators related to the characterizer are listed in the *Associated file format validators* section (specifically, they are the validators related to file formats that can be identified by the characterizer). Of each one, the system shows name, description, a weblink where we can find more detailed information and access to the validator detail.

Last, all the evolvers related to the characterizer are listed (specifically, they are the evolvers related to file formats that can be identified by the characterizer). Of each one, the system shows name, description, version, a weblink where we can find more detailed information, origin UID, destination UID and access to the evolver detail.
