# Metadata filter editing

Metadata filter editing can be accessed from either the main screen of the metadata filter, or from a metadata filter detail.  

Metadata filter editing allows for the modification of all the information entered when creating the metadata filter, with the exception of the files that are a direct part of the latter. In the ***Edit*** screen we are allowed to select the executable file from the list of metadata filters stored in the system. We can also add more metadata schemas related to the metadata filter.

We must contact the system administrator in order to carry out replacement or deletion of files related to the metadata filter. The system administrator can perform the necessary actions and will have to check the process.
