All users in the system have an associated notifications panel, in which they can see the messages generated for them by the configured alarms. Configuration of the alarms is restricted to preservation and system administrators (through the corresponding permission), but the notifications they generate can be sent to any user.

Each user can access their notifications panel with the link placed in the upper right hand side part of the interface screen, between the user name and the logout indication.

The message shown can be filtered through these fields:

  • Notifications, in reference to the configured alarm that generated the specific notification.

  • Creation date, specified with a ‘from-to’ range.

  • Update dates, specified with a ‘from-to’ range.

  • Email sent, indicating if the notification shown has already been sent by e-mail to the receiver.

  • Acknowledged. Shown with a colored dot, it shows whether a notification has already been attended to or not. It is a similar concept to that of ‘message read’ or ‘not read’ of email clients.

  • Stored, oriented to not list of those notifications no longer of interest. It is a similar concept to that of a message stored or in inbox of email clients.

Last, the filtered search can be arranged by Alarm name, Date of creation or Date of latest update.

Based on the configuration of the alarm generating the notification (see section Configured alarms for more detail), the status of the notification fields ‘Accepted’ and ‘Active’ may be modified in the area for notification parameters.

We must keep in mind that a user without permissions will only be able to see the notifications sent, but not the definition of the alarm generating them.

Note: this manual includes more information on this subject in the ‘preservation administrators and system administrators alarms’ sections.
