It generates a list of objects on the search criteria; these criteria can be used in simple or advanced form.

For the simple search, the criteria are:

  • Object name.

  • Creation dates. To set a time frame.

  • LUOI.

  • Any metadata value. This field allows setting a value that will be searched for in all values defined for all metadata descriptors of all objects.

  • Preservation area and plan. If it is possible to know with what area or plan the object was ingested in the system.

  • Ingestion job.

  • Digital. If the object was digitally signed by the system in the ingestion process.

For the advanced search, the criteria are:

  1. The same as in the simple search, plus

  2. Fixed search elements. This section adds the search for objects with a metadata value of a specific descriptor of a metadata schema (for as many values as desired).

  3. Free search elements: it searches for objects with any combination of descriptor name and metadata value.

  4. Final conditions: establishes whether when searching for metadata all metadata sets or only the latest generated one are considered, the last one will be applied by default.

The search in objects is not limited to the latest version of each object in the system, any version of an object is considered (for LIBSAFE, any object version is an object in itself). Conditions are nested with an OR condition, and texts are searched for as sub-chains (opposite to complete chain), regardless of case.

The list generated is of the same kind and functionality as the one generated in Catalog – Browse catalog by object.
