# Catalog

**LIBSAFE** shows a catalog system based on:

* The metadata associated with each object in its ingestion process.
* The LUOI (LIBSAFE Unique Object Identifier) or internal identifier LIBSAFE assigns to each object.
* Associated preservation area.
* Associated preservation plan.
* Ingestion job.
* Ingestion date.
* Object name.

The three ways to access the catalog are:

1. **Browse by objects** – Direct list of all objects preserved in the system.
2. **Browse by tree** – List of objects using a tree structure.
3. **Search by objects** – List of objects filtered in a search; the search may be simple or advanced.
