Certificates for the digital signature service
When creating the digital signature profile, two certificates will have to be selected.
The certificates have to be installed in the server prior to the creation of the signature profile. Using the Windows certificate administrator (certmgr.exe), the chosen certificates have to be installed (typically by the systems department) in the personal folder of the user executing LIBSAFE.
Once the digital signature profile is created, it will be tested automatically to validate its correct operation (since it depends on third parties). Should the test fail, the digital signature profile can be retested from profile detail.
Note: a digital signature profile cannot be assigned to a preservation plan until it passes a digital signature profile test.
