# Dissemination Information Package (DIP) profiles

Dissemination Information Package profiles or DIP profiles are procedures executed during the retrieval process on the retrieved objects. The range of application of the DIP profiles is open, which means that the tasks that a DIP profile is able to perform are only limited by the needs of the user or organization using LIBSAFE.
