LIBSAFE is run under a license set by volume and date. The specific license applied is shown in the System Configuration - > Licensing section.

LIBSAFE applies its size limit to the original objects preserved; so, copies do not count for the license -you may and should define preservation plans with several copies for each object-.

At first use, the licensee will be disabled, and it will be necessary to access the Activation panel directly.

The activation panel allows for:

  • Getting the machine ID for the server; this is the code for which LIBNOVA will generate a license valid only for this server, and restricted as set in the contract agreement. This code must be e-mailed to LIBNOVA. The code is shown for copying in a popup window.

  • Activating the licensee, with the code given by LIBNOVA for the server ID that was sent to LIBNOVA.

  • Deactivating the licensee. Once sent the deactivation code to LIBNOVA, the use time for the licensee will halt, if the contract so says. This action turns the system unusable, for which reason it must be used with care.
