As described in section LABDRIVE enables the creation of complete AIPs, which collect together everything needed for the preservation of an object, including at least as much Representation Information as required by the Designated Community, and all the Provenance Information which the archive contains for the object, and all the Fixity Information as evidence that the bits have not been changed. The AIP can be exported in a number of package formats including and , which must be supplemented to contain all the components of an AIP, as described in LABDRIVE support for OAIS Conformance; alternatively the packaging format can be used, which has been designed to contain all the AIP components.
