New features, improvements, and fixes included in the OpenAccess Version 3.10

New and Improved

Front-End Default Template Usability Improvements

  • We have enhanced the accessibility features of several elements in the default Front-end default template to comply with the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. The main improvements include:

    • Screen readers:

      • Added meaningful alternative text to several key elements.

      • Adjusted markup to improve compatibility with screen readers.

    • Coherent links:

      • Removed redundant links.

      • Ensured each icon has a clear textual description or accessible label.

    • Keyboard Navigation: Improved the visual distinction of focus indicators for better keyboard navigation.

Fixed

Advanced Search

Fixed an issue where searching for multiple metadata values in the Advanced Search would return no results.

Languages

Resolved a problem where the Backoffice panel and records metadata did not display all elements correctly in multiple languages.

Object Manifest

Previously, if a manifest was not correctly created due to platform instability, the object would not display properly in the player. We have now added a button in the Backoffice that launches a Check Manifest process. This process verifies each object's manifest and recreates it if the format is invalid.

Downloads

Fixed an issue that generated a corrupt ZIP file when downloading record attachments from the Records Download section.

Exporting records report

Fixed an issue where the “Don’t export deleted objects” checkbox in the Export Options pop-up was reset after the background record list was loaded.

Maps

Resolved an issue that prevented the map section from displaying the background map for certain records.

Metadata Schemas

Fixed an issue where metadata descriptors were not removed, even when they contained no metadata values, due to the deletion of the record that originally contained them.
