In this view, a new collection can be created:

  • Name: Name of the collection

    • Up to 150 characters

    • No empty value is allowed

  • Description: Description of the collection (Optional)

  • Featured: if the collection is marked as "Featured", all records in this collection will be on the homepage as featured records. Only one collection could be active as "Featured" at a time.

  • Record Type: To add the type of files that the record will store and what type of viewer is to be used.

  • Published: The collection is shown or not, depending on this parameter. Items inside this collection are also hidden from the interface, search and OAI server.

  • Hidden on homepage: Parameter to hide the collection on the homepage.

  • Collection showcase content position: Position of HTML code of the collection in the Front-end (TOP or BOTTOM).

  • Collection showcase content: If needed, the HTML code editor allows for editing directly.

To the right, different parameters will appear:

  • Metadata schema: Selection of a metadata schema for the record (mandatory to add descriptors).

  • View order: When more than one collection is shown this will be necessary to know in which position the collection will appear (lower numbers are shown first).

  • Collection parent: As its name indicates, this is used to select the parent of the collection.

Example of how the HTML of a collection looks depending on the position (Bottom / Top):

HTML BOTTOM:

The children collections appear at the top and the HTML at the bottom.

Note: This view is only available if the collection has children.

HTML TOP:

The HTML appears at the top and the children collections at the bottom.

Note: This view is only available if the collection has children.
